The Citizen Science SDG Conference will take place in Berlin and online on 14 and 15 October 2020. All the events are open only to registered participants: you can register here until 5 October.

The conference will discuss the contributions that citizen science can give to the goal of achieving sustainable development, with a focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The rich programme is divided in three theme sessions, dedicated to global challenges, concepts and methodologies for the SDGs, and policies, platforms and networks to achieve the SDGs. The theme sessions include presentations, panel discussions and symposiums on key topics such as engagement, sustainability and the impact of citizen science project on society.

For people attending the Conference on site in Berlin, the event will be accompanied by a Citizen Science Festival, with representatives from 10 citizen science project that will showcase their projects and results in market stands. There will also be workshops, lectures and hands-on activities open to all visitors.

This conference is an official event of Germany’s 2020 EU Council presidency and is organized by the
Museum für Naturkunde Berlin; it’s funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
