More about the conference
The conference is the heart of EASST’s activities. It’s a biennial international conference held in different European locations; every 4 years it’s held jointly with the Society for Social Studies of Science (4S). Since the first event in 1982, there have been 15 conferences which have involved over 5000 different scholars from more than 1200 different academic institutions from all over the world.
EASST is the European Association for the Study of Science and Technology. Established in 1981, it’s a not for profit organisation that represents academics and researchers in the fields of science and technology studies, the social analysis of innovation and related areas of knowledge. EASST’s objective is to foster within Europe the scholarly study of science and technology including their historical development and their role in society
