The department of Philosophy, Sociology, Education and Applied Psychology hosts the Padua Science, Technology and Innovation Studies (Pa.S.T.I.S.) research unit, the most important academic research center expressly devoted to STS research in Italy.

FCiências.ID – Associação para a Investigação e Desenvolvimento de Ciências is a Non-Profit Private Association created as a common initiative of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL) and 6 private companies to support R&D and innovation activities of its associates, while enhancing FCUL strategic partnerships with market and services companies, therefore creating a more challenging environment for research and innovation. FCiências.ID is the legal representative of 20 research centers, in several scientific fields. The research centres involved in NEWSERA are the Interuniversity Centre of History of Science and Technology (CIUHCT) and the Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes (cE3c).

IBERCIVIS

IBERCIVIS is the national private non-for-profit foundation devoted to citizen science in Spain. It has deployed more than 60 experiments from 40 different research groups reaching over 60.000 citizen scientists. The set of experiments include volunteer computing, volunteer sensing, participatory experiments, or collective intelligence projects among others.
