  • 14 December 2021
    15:00 - 17:00 CEST

Are you involved or interested in Citizen Science activities? Then join us in the Common challenges in citizen science workshops, organized by Scivil (Citizen Science Vlandereen) and Stickydot. NEWSERA Project Manager Joana Magalhães will conduct the third workshops in the series, on Tuesday 14 December, 2021.

These workshops are aimed at people who are involved or interested in coordinating, organising or supporting citizen science initiatives. Experience with citizen science is welcome, but not required, just your willingness to ask, share and discuss about the topic! As different perspectives will enrichen the discussion in our workshops, the organizers are encouraging participation of citizen science enthusiasts from all around the globe. To facilitate international participation, the workshop will take place in English and online (via Zoom).

Read more about the workshops on the Scivil website.

Communication in Citizen Science

WHEN: Tue 14 December, 2021 | 3PM-5PM CET

WITH: Joana Magalhães (Science for Change), Carina Veeckman (VUB)

ABOUT: What innovative ways are Citizen Science projects engaging their audiences? How do we ensure we reach our target audiences, going beyond the usual crowd, and what techniques really work to build a convincing campaign? This session will explore a range of challenges we face in communications around our work, and highlight some specific good practices from across Europe as well as in Scivil’s practical guide.

Registration to this and the other workshops in the series is free and available through this form.
