The National Science Communication Conference will be held from 17 to 20 November 2021 at the International School of Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste. NEWSERA will be featured at the Conference with a video abstract, describing the project’s aims and methodology.

The SISSA National Science Communication Conference was founded in 2002 with the aim of creating an opportunity for discussion and meeting between scholars and professionals in the sector. The last edition dates back to 2013 and today more than ever it is important to resume this tradition. Over the years, the event has been attended by scientists and female scientists, communicators and communicators of science, researchers and social researchers, illustrious names in scientific journalism.

In its 2021 edition, the Conference is organized by the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of SISSA and will take place from 17 to 20 November 2021. The meetings will take place face to face, with reduced capacity given the pandemic. Some events will be available in hybrid mode, both live and online.

The National Science Communication Conference offers science communicators an overview of current trends and strategies in science communication and opportunities for the exchange of ideas and good practices between researchers and professionals in the sector. The program will mainly consist of keynote speeches and round tables; all events will be held in Italian.
